Campbell’s Condensed Chicken Noodle Soup
Unfortunately, the most iconic canned soup brand name fell short of expectations. The can is smaller than most because the soup is condensed, which means that you prepare it by combining the contents with a can full of water to dilute it before heating.
The soup looks sunny yellow, which I took to mean that it has been seasoned. The dense clump of noodles that emerged as I emptied it into a bowl shocked me. As one might expect from a condensed soup, there isn’t much broth, a few tiny bits of chicken, and no vegetables.
Taste: Salt predominated over any herbaceous or subtle flavor in the soup, despite its appetizing-looking yellow hue. Im sure the complete lack of vegetables doesnt help. Only onion powder and garlic extract are listed as ingredients, not even celery or onions. The ingredient list for the soup also mentions a small amount of sugar, which seems unnecessary. Although the noodles were a little soft, at least they didn’t crumble to pieces.
Is there anything you love more on a cold day than chicken noodle soup? I think it’s a must-have for chilly evenings, days spent at home with the sniffles, and evenings when you just want something to eat that feels like a big hug. Of course, a can of soup quickly becomes a go-to when you’re sick or it’s simply too cold to leave the house. We tested eight brands, ranging from organics to classics to Aldi-exclusives, to determine which canned chicken soup was the best; which one should you start using? Pacific Foods Organic Chicken Noodle Soup
This savory soup is not too salty, made with organic ingredients, and has a short and readable ingredient list. It makes a delicious, warming meal that you can feel good about.
The appearance: Although I like the Progresso soup’s bigger carrot pieces, this soup has a good ratio of noodles, vegetables, and broth. The soup included green peas as an added vegetable, and the noodles were mostly undamaged.
Taste: Pacific Foods’ soup did not let down with its flavor. The use of real garlic and vegetables rather than extracts and powders is likely the reason for the broth’s fresh, uncanned flavor. This soup tasted close to homemade and was deeply satisfying.
