Besides including the standard sauce packet, this flavor also includes powdered, processed, cheddar-like cheese with flecks of nori. Less spicy than some of its counterparts, this is a good way to introduce yourself to Samyang noodles if you want to try something out of the box.
Even though it has one of the spicier flavors, this dish still has a sweetness to it that prevents it from being unbearably hot. This flavor is utterly unlike any other, with a distinct curry flavor that you would likely associate with Indian food. This is the Samyang flavor I select the most frequently because of the thick, springy noodles, which are a treat.
I think it is a waste of time to cook noodles and then have to wait for them to cool down. Even though the flavor is adequate and is comparable to the original chicken flavor, I find eating cold noodles to be largely unappealing. I might be interested if there was a heat wave, but then I’d have to think about why I was eating spicy noodles in the first place.
One of my favorite features of Samyang’s noodles is that they are drier than typical instant ramen noodles, preventing sogginess and ensuring that the delectable sauce adheres to each strand. This stewed version doesnt have that. Even though it is flavorful and spicy, compared to the other Samyang flavors, it is not particularly memorable.
If this flavor had been given a different name it probably would have ranked higher on this list, but given the fact that this tastes nothing like Italian carbonara its going to get a few demerits. Traditionally, carbonara is made with cheese, guanciale/pancetta, egg, and pepper. This flavor is more milky than it is cheesy while the addition of garlic powder and parsley make it taste like a different dish altogether (its still tasty though).
