If you need help finding and solving other Shrines, our Shrine location maps page can help, while our Zelda: Breath of the Wild walkthrough and guide covers other aspects of the game.

The Ha Dahamar shrine is located within the Dueling Peaks region, specifically just to the west of Dueling Peaks Stable. To get there, head east of the Dueling Peaks Tower through the ravine between the two Dueling Peaks, and its on your left as you come out the other end.

Otherwise, head to the Dueling Peaks Stable and look to the west to see it right in front of you, in a small pond.

The Ha Dahamar shrine has a small entry puzzle to get through before you can get inside for the trial itself. Protecting the entrance is a ring of thorny spines sticking out of the water.

Theres no discernable way to destroy them, so youll need to climb up somewhere nearby and paraglide down to the entrance just inside the ring of spikes. The hillside just behind the shrine is a good place to try dropping from. Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Switch vs Wii U Comparison + Frame Rate Test

You just need a fire arrow to get rid of this thorns. You may also use any ordinary arrow, you just need to burn the tip with any fire. Then hit the Thorns with these arrows.

Once you’re inside, immediately head to the right and look down to see a chest on the platform below. Open the chest to find an Opal gem then circle back around to the main platform where you entered. There’s a large wheel on one side that can be rotated to control the level of water in the shrine. Rotate the wheel and wait for the laser to activate the water faucets.

This Sheh Rata shrine guide covers how to enter the Sheh Rata shrine, complete the Speed of Light puzzle, and show you get through the shrine, as well as access the chest that holds the Giant Boomerang in the final chamber. It’s not a difficult task, so follow our Sheh Rata shrine guide and you’ll have the Giant Boomerang in no time!

With the barrel on top of the switch the door to the final chamber opens. Run up the ramp and into the final chamber. To the right is another platform with a chest at the top. Switch back to the Remote Bomb tool and detonate the bomb you placed by the light. This causes the water to fill the shrine again, which means you can use the Cryonis tool to create an ice pillar and reach the chest. Open the chest to find the Giant Boomerang, then drop down and complete the shrine to collect your Spirit Orb.

Make your way back over to the main platform and switch back to the Cryonis tool. Create ice pillars leading over to the platform where the laser is sitting. From this platform you can swim over to the opening on the far side. You don’t need to cross yet so long as you know you can make it over to the far side quickly.

With the water level raised, switch to the Cryonis tool on your Sheikah Slate and head over to the far right side of the room near where you found the first chest. On the far wall is a light that the laser hits to activate the flow of water in and out of the shrine. It’s too far to swim without drowning, so use ice pillars from the Cryonis tool to make your way over to the light. Switch to the Remote Bomb tool and place it behind the half-wall near the light. Do not detonate the bomb!

Ha Dahamar and The Water Guides trial solution

The Water Guides is all about using your Cryosis ability. First up, youll find a waterfall with a pool of water beneath it, and a ledge thats too high to climb to. Use the Cryosis ability to raise a platform under yourself and hop up to the next level.

Next, you learn that Cryosis also works horizontally: only the waterfall, with no pool beneath, is between you and the next ledge. Use two pillars of ice, coming out of the wall, like steps to get to the next level.

Before moving on, turn back around and look up to see a chest on a ledge in the waterfall. Use more horizontal blocks as steps in the same way to get up there, and claim a valuable Purple Rupee!

Next up, a puzzle to the far right of the room.

Here, you need to place three blocks of ice on the back wall to redirect the falling ball into the socket below. The positions can be seen here – start with the top left thats between the two ramps, then the middle which is under the see-saw ramp to stop it dropping, then bottom right one to act as a bridge for the ball to reach the socket:

Thats it! Head down the ramp and through the now open gate to claim your Spirit Orb and exit the trial.
