The Block 2020: Jimmy and Tam
Queensland couple Jimmy and Tam made it clear from the first challenge they were on the show to win, and dominated through most of the season.
They won the Domain superpower, which gave them the ability to pick the auction order. House 5 went under the hammer second and sold for an incredible $4,256,000.
The reserve was set at $3,290,000, which meant they earned an incredible profit of $966,000 + $100,000 in prize money for winning.
But things went from joy to heartbreak after Emese Fajk, the woman who bought House 5, was unable to make the deposit, or come up with any of the $4.2 million she had bid to secure the house on the day.
In the months since the auction day scandal, Jimmy and Tams house has officially sold, with the couple remaining winners of The Block 2020.
The couple recently purchased their first family home and its a fixer-upper, so we can expect another renovation from the Queenslanders!
