I honestly had never used any kind of spray whipped cream before this past week. I therefore have nothing to contrast the Coconut Whipped Topping from Trader Joe’s with. However, Tony proclaimed “they did a good job. He compared it to dairy whip from a spray can with a coconut flavor.
I loved how simple it was to use, how well it applied, and how creamy it was. I thought it had a nice smooth and rich consistency. It was also perfectly sweet without being overly sugary. I did believe, though, that the aftertaste was a reflection of the more processed ingredients. Without a better term, it had a slightly “chemical” flavor and a waxy finish. However, Tony clarified that it is remarkably comparable to goods like Reddi-Whip. And I did consider it to be a nice addition to hot cocoa.
This whipped topping holds its shape reasonably well, but at warmer room temperatures, it begins to slowly melt after a few minutes. So I recommend spraying it on just before serving.
