What Is The 2x Spicy Buldak Ramen?
The 2x Spicy Buldak Ramen was introduced in 2017 as “Extreme Buldak Ramen.” Samyang touted it as a spicier version of the original Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen. This ramen is also known as Haek-Buldak-Bokkeum-Myeon. Haek means something along the lines of “nuclear.”
The fact that this Haek ramen was only intended to be a limited production is interesting. It was released to commemorate the start of 2017, which was the year of the Fire Rooster.
These extremely spicy Korean ramen noodles were so popular that they are now no longer a just limited edition. In fact, Samyang seems intent on expanding these 2x Spicy ramen noodles globally, with the help of its super cute mascot Hochi (Buldak Trade Character)!
