How To Make Beef And Noodles With Canned Beef

Beef & Noodles in the Crockpot

Even though I usually prepare this on the stove, if you’d like, you can use your crockpot for all the prep work. I have done it both ways.

Simply place the meat, celery, onions, and stock in the slow cooker and set it on low for the entire day to make a crockpot. When you get home, thin the gravy and stir in the noodles.

Either way — you have to try it!

How To Make Beef And Noodles With Canned Beef

Ingredients in Beef & Noodles:

  • Egg Noodles
  • Beef Stew Meat
  • celery
  • onion
  • beef stock
  • cornstarch
  • salt & pepper

Place the beef chunks, celery, and onions in a large pot over medium heat.

When the meat and vegetables are tender, add the stock, season with salt and pepper, cover, and simmer.

I use a small amount of cornstarch and water to make the gravy thicker. And then toss in the noodles.

An alternative would be to coat the beef tips with flour, salt, and pepper before browning them in a small amount of oil.

I simply skip that step every time because it moves along more quickly and I get to eat it sooner!
