Slow Cooker Egg Noodles and Chicken

Alright, so you could also prepare this in a big pot or Dutch oven on your stovetop. However, why is slow cooking the best option when you’re busy? That was all I produced when I first started out as a food blogger. You kind of go back to all those Crock Pot recipes you had as a child because that’s how your mom cooked.

Then you venture out once you get bored. Since then I have made all the things. Yes, the meat tastes fantastic in this dish, but as I grew older, I preferred stronger flavors. Replace water with pickle juice, chicken broth, or in this case, pepperoncini juices to elevate the flavors to a whole new level.

Although wide egg noodles are my favorite, you can really use any kind of pasta to make this Crockpot chicken recipe. I’ll use frozen noodles as well if I have them on hand, and I’ll explain both to you.

Boiled Chicken and Egg Noodles

I also have instructions for making this Crockpot chicken and noodles recipe in a large pot if that’s more your style. All you’d need to make our recipe for boiled chicken breasts is some water or broth, along with some seasonings. Bring to a boil over high heat, then lower the heat to medium-low and simmer until the chicken is cooked through, 25 to 30 minutes.

After taking the chicken out of the pot, allow it to cool for a little while. Shred into bite-sized pieces using two forks. As the meat cools, heat up the chicken broth and mix in the noodles. Simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, or until they are very soft.

Melt two tablespoons of butter in a different pan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic and sauté it for a few minutes, or until a wonderful aroma emerges. Toss to mix. Add the meat to the pan with the butter and garlic. After draining, add the noodles to the chicken and garlic mixture and gently toss to mix.

You could add a can of cream of celery soup and a pinch of onion and garlic powder to make it creamier. In any case, serve the noodles and boiled chicken in bowls with shredded parmesan cheese and fresh parsley on top!
