Introduction: Easy Lasagna – No Boil – Regular Noodles
Easy Lasagna – No Boil – Regular Noodles
If lasagna is such a great dish, why don’t we eat it more often? You say it’s messy and hard to make.
It doesn’t have to be that way! There are recipes out there that require a lot of labor and dirty a lot of pots and pans.
Regular lasagna noodles are used in this recipe, but they are not boiled. This lasagna can be made and baked in the same pan, saving you from having to use another pot or pan!
Boiling lasagna noodles is really overrated. There really isnt any reason to do it. And you dont need those newfangled “oven ready” noodles. Great lasagna without all the work! Just let the regular type noodles soak up the sauce and cook in the oven!

Ingredients:
12 – Regular Lasagna Noodles
2 – 24 oz. Jars of your favorite Pasta Sauce
(I used Newmans Own Italian Sausage)
1- 15 oz. tub of Ricotta Cheese (I used part skim).
1- 16 oz. (4 cups) package of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 – 6 oz. (1-1/2 cup) package of Shredded Parmesan Cheese.
1/4 cup water (optional)
You will also need:
9 x 13 inch baking pan
1/4 cup measuring cup (optional)
Oven, timer, oven gloves, serving utensil, appetite. You get the idea!.
Step 5: Spread Your Ricotta Cheese
Ricotta Cheese is a spreadable cheese. Spread it onto the Lasagna Noodles. Sorry for the delayed notice, but it might be best to do this before adding the noodles to the sauce. I experimented with applying the sauce directly onto the noodles and spreading the ricotta on the noodles by hand before adding them to the sauce. To be honest, I think the handheld approach is a little bit simpler.
Cover all of the noodles with about half of the ricotta cheese (mostly covered is OK). Alternatively, you can use one-third of the cheese if you want Ricotta on top; however, if you use a lot of cheese, it will be easier to spread and you’ll only get two layers with Ricotta this way, which is okay because it’s all in the lasagna!
Step 4: Lay Your First Layer of Lasagna Noodles
Place a layer of lasagna noodles on top of the pasta sauce.
— Spreading the ricotta cheese on the noodles and then placing them on top of the sauce layer is much simpler.
