How to Make Instant Pot Stir Fry Rice Noodles Recipe – Step by Step
Step 1: Add Ingredients to Instant Pot
In the bowl of your Instant Pot, add the water, teriyaki sauce, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Whisk to mix. Place the carrots and brown rice noodles inside, then cover.
Step 2: Pressure Cook
Make sure the valve is in the sealed position and pressurize the Instant Pot for two minutes using the manual setting. After the timer goes off, release the pressure by carefully turning the valve to the venting position (be careful—it will steam).
Step 3: Sauté
Select the sauté setting on the Instant Pot, then add the broccoli, snap peas, and green onion and toss to combine. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently, or until the broccoli is just beginning to soften.
Step 4: Serve
Serve, garnished with sesame seeds and green onion if desired.
Step 1 – Measure Ingredients
To begin, gather your ingredients and measure them out. You will need:
- 8 ounces rice noodles (regular or brown rice)
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups water, chicken, or vegetable stock
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (or peanut oil)
The amount of liquid you use will depend on whether or not you want the final product to be sticky.
Use two cups of water, or any other liquid of your choice, for stickier noodles. Use 1 1/2 cups of water to make something less sticky, which is ideal for adding to dishes like pad thai or lo mein.
When using stock, I like to use a low-sodium option. This allows me greater flexibility to personally modify a dish’s sodium content.
