Note: You will need pool noodles that are straight and unmodified as well as pool noodles that are bent into a circle and taped together. Making the circular pool noodle is simple: just bend it until the two ends meet, then use duct tape to keep them together.

Step 3: Kick the football: Drive a one-yard stake into the ground. Push a straight pool noodle onto the yard stake. Take two pool noodles and place one under the other so that the rings are taped to the top of the straight pool noodle. Repeat with 4 more circular pool noodles. Put another yard stake in the ground where the circular pool noodles end, then push a straight pool noodle onto the yard stake. Tape the circular noodles onto the straight noodle. If you need more support to keep this obstacle straight, you can also insert long sticks into the ground. Tape the sticks to the long and straight pool noodles.

Stage 4: Soccer Skills: Place a straight row of yard stakes in the ground, spaced approximately one foot apart. Place a pool noodle so that it sticks straight up into the air atop each stake. Place some soccer balls at this barrier and observe the children as they attempt to kick or dribble the ball between the noodles.

Step 5: Ring Toss: Insert a yard stake into the ground, then place a pool noodle onto it so that it is vertically oriented in the air. Encourage your children to attempt tossing a pool noodle ring onto the pole.
