For complete instructions and ingredient quantities, see the recipe card located below this post.

Using a meat mallet, tenderize the steak and then cut it into thin strips. Pat dry and sprinkle with seasoning, toss to coat.

With hot olive oil, sear the meat for three to four minutes in batches. Remove and let it rest. Deglaze the pan with white wine (or chicken broth).

After adding the snow peas, broccoli, carrots, onions, and mushrooms, give them four minutes to soften. Add the bell peppers and cook for 1-2 more minutes.

Add the sauce. Bring it to a boil. Reduce to medium low once desired thickness is obtained.

Add the beef back along with cooked noodles. Stir to combine and heat through. Garnish with desired toppings and serve.

  • Keep in an airtight container and freeze for up to three months, or refrigerate for up to three days. (Leftovers do freeze well!).

Ingredients in Steak Stir Fry

This is the easiest beef stir fry recipe ever—it has tender beef, noodles, and a variety of veggies all in one! Here are the ingredients:

  • Boneless beef sirloin steak – sliced thin. You can use skirt steak too. Before cooking, it’s best to let the meat come to room temperature. If you would rather make a stir-fried chicken dish, you can also use chicken.
  • Any type of noodle will do, including angel hair pasta, fettuccini, and spaghetti. Alternatively, you could serve your stir fry with cauliflower rice or rice.
  • Canola oil – divided. This will be used for both sautéing the vegetables and browning the beef.
  • Red bell pepper– sliced thin
  • Onion – sliced thin
  • Carrots – sliced into match-sticks. You can also use baby carrots cut in quarters length-wise.
  • Broccoli florets – Cut into bite-size pieces
  • Cabbage – shredded
  • Sesame seeds – to taste. These are optional but look really pretty as a garnish.
  • Red pepper flakes – also optional. With these, a tiny bit goes a long way, so begin with a small amount.

For the marinade, you just need a few ingredients. We simply divide the marinade in half and double it to make things even easier. This way, we can use the remaining marinade for the sauce while cooking. You should marinate your steak slices in the marinade for at least two hours for the best results. Skip the marinade if you are in a time crunch. Even though the steak won’t taste quite as good, the outcome will still be excellent.

  • 2/3 cup soy sauce – either reduced sodium or regular.
  • 2 and a third cups beef broth (again, I prefer the low-sodium kind)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

Without a question, one of my favorite recipes to prepare for my family is this one. We love the flavorful noodles and tender, juicy steak in this brown sauce, but we also love the delicious vegetables! This makes a complete and healthful dinner in one skillet! (Isn’t stir fry the best?).

Let’s talk about this brown sauce: it contains the best seasonings and flavor enhancers, as well as a combination of beef and chicken broth for depth of flavor, soy sauce for umami, and honey to balance out the savory.

(Bonus: If you’re fortunate enough to have leftovers, they freeze nicely. ).
