How To Make Udon Stir Fry Noodles From Costco

What is Yaki Udon?

The noodles in this are different from those in yakisoba. Another Japanese noodle dish that is stir-fried is called yakisoba, but the noodles are much thinner. But these should not be mistaken with soba noodles, which are derived from buckwheat flour.

How To Cook Costco Udon Noodles?

  • After taking the Costco Udon Noodles out of the package, place them in a pot of boiling water. You can add frozen udon noodles directly to boiling water.
  • When the noodles become pliable and separate from one another, gently stir them. Since they are already cooked, this should only take a minute or two. Be careful not to overcook them to prevent them from becoming overly soft.
  • Under cold water, rinse and drain your noodles. If you aren’t using them right away, dab them with a little oil to prevent them from sticking.

Stir Fry:

  • Fill the pan with oil, then turn the heat to high.
  • Before adding the remaining vegetables, stir-fry the meat for one minute. Stir-fry for two to three minutes before adding the sauce and Costco Udon Noodles. If you’d like, add less sauce.
  • Stir fry for about 3 minutes or until well combined. Serve right away.

Note: You can either follow this recipe and add a few extra ingredients, or you can just use the ingredients that come in the packaging of your Costco Udon noodles.
