How To Make A Balloon Arch With Pool Noodles

What about the Dollar Tree Balloon Arch tape?

I wish my store had this in stock – it’s currently on backorder on the Dollar Tree website! It would have made this even easier. It’s 196″ long, and you can attach all the balloons you want to it. If you can find this in store, it will make this project even easier!

  • Pool noodles can be joined together using duct tape and balloon stakes. Each noodle had a couple of balloon stakes inserted into its center, and the openings were then taped shut with duct tape.
  • For guidance on how to fasten it to the wall or ceiling so that the arch will stand alone, refer to the post’s tips section.
  • Verify that it fits in the desired location and make any necessary adjustments.
  • Inflate your balloons; I suggest doing so with roughly five at a time.
  • Attach your balloons together with twisty ties or floral wire. Make sure it can be tied around the pool noodle and is long enough to be strung on all the balloons. I was able to string the balloons together by passing the twist tie through the tied end of each balloon. Instead of using twisty ties, see if you can locate a balloon arch strip.
  • Starting at the bottom and working your way up, place the balloons on your balloon arch.
  • Continue this process until your balloon arch is complete!

How to Do a Balloon Arch

I remember the first time I saw a balloon arch. When I was little, it was at a dinner and dance that the church was hosting for the youth. My mother must have been in charge of it.

When we first entered the church’s gym, I was astounded by the incredible balloon arch that appeared to span a sizable portion of the space. I was so fascinated by it at that moment!.

Obviously, I’ve seen a lot more balloon arches since then, though I don’t believe any have been as large. They are well-liked for weddings, baby showers, and pretty much any other occasion you can think of.

I figured it would be entertaining to attempt making one out of supplies from Dollar Tree alone.

How much does it cost to make a balloon arch?

One of the most common inquiries regarding balloon arches is their cost, which can vary from a few dollars to several hundred dollars (the latter likely if you are hiring someone to make it or creating a very large one!). Our Dollar Tree balloon arch cost us approximately $15, for which we purchased six packages of balloons, five packages of pool noodles, a package of balloon stakes, a package of balloon pumps, and a package of twisty ties.

Have I used better? Absolutely. Yes, it did accomplish the task, and for just $1. Fantastic in an emergency situation and saves you breath!

I purchased these flexible twist ties with a dispenser. I really liked these because I could cut them off as long as I needed, and they were easy to pass through the tied end of the balloon. I bought it on a whim, but it ended up being a really good idea! Floral wire would work as well.
