The moisture within the scrapple becomes steam while frying, which in turn causes the scrapple to melt and crumble. Dust every side of the scrapple slices having a light layer of flour.
Sprinkle each side of slices with flour. Pre-heat pan with butter or oil until hot or even the scrapple will break apart within the pan. Fry inside a buttered or fry pan until browned on every side. (A minimum of 5 minutes per side or it’ll break apart.)

Once cooked, like sausage, you will want to consume your scrapple within an hour or two. Refrigerate unused scrapple and it will be good for about 5 days in the refrigerator.

Freeze scrapple once it has been cooked. Place it in a freezer safe container label it, remove as much air as possible and place in the freezer. It will be good for 3-6 months.
