The Terraria Eater of Worlds is one of the Pre-Hardmode bosses that players can take on in their playthrough. The encounter serves as a make-or-break moment for many new players.
It’s not a particularly challenging boss, but it’s still one of the first major hurdles that beginners will have trouble with. Jumping into this fight unprepared is an extremely bad idea.
So with this Terraria Eater of Worlds guide, we’ll try and layout the best way to approach this boss fight.
Crafting[]
- It is however still possible to summon the Eater of Worlds in a world that spawned with Crimson by artificially creating a Corruption biome (with at least 300 200 Corruption blocks), and then using the Worm Food within it.
Eater of Worlds is a medium-level boss. This means that the battle won’t be too tough and neither too easy. You will need the right weapon and gear to beat the Eater of Worlds.
The Pre-Hardmode in Terraria features some nasty-looking bosses. The Eater of Worlds is essentially a brown segmented worm found in the Crimson worlds. It’s not an optional boss, so there’s no way you can avoid this creature.
How To Summon The Boss
There are two ways through which the player can summon the Terraria Eater of Worlds.
The first of these involves locating Shadow Orbs, which are only found in The Corruption. Destroying at least three of these with any Hammer or explosives will cause the boss to spawn.
Shadow Orbs are usually located under challenging spots, and Ebonstone always surrounds them. This is a block type that requires at least a Nightmare Pickaxe to mine through.
Making Worm Food is the alternative method, but it requires you to gather 15x Rotten Chunks and 30x Vile Powder. This can then only be crafted at Demon Altars, which are unmovable crafting stations that are spread throughout The Corruption and the Underground.
Using Worm Food from your inventory will summon the Terraria Eater of Worlds boss.
