Osrs 1 Tick Karambwan

Description: Firebwan involves cooking karambwans in-between lighting logs. This method requires fast accurate clicking and full attention. Playing alts while using this method is not recommended unless you have extremely good click accuracy and speed.

The common method is when moving east to light a log -> cook a karambwan -> move 2 tiles east -> repeat. Once the marked tile has been reached, move down (unless you are at the most north row, in which case you move up) and light a log -> cook 2 karambwan -> repeat till you are out of logs. When cooking karambwans it’s important to be holding down the 2 key before the cook interface appears to cook as fast as possible.

For every 1 XP in FM, you get .54 Cooking XP, giving you 105m Cooking XP if the method is done from 90FM to 200M. (This assumes no pyromancer outfit.)

Important when trying to maximize xp/hr, banking slow will result in a relight. Ways to increase bank speed includes clicking on the banker as soon as the XP drop is seen, use screen markers to increase click accuracy, and if your manual clicks are too slow, binding left click to a key can help with eliminating accidental drags and withdraw speed. As soon as you exit the bank, immediately light a log , cook a karambwan, and move to the next tile.

Tips for Learners: When first learning the method begin by lighting only logs then once you are able to follow a route, then begin to add in karambwans. – Be very patient when first learning to bank fast as it just requires practice.

Using Runelite’s tile indicator plugin for marking tiles is very useful to determine when to change rows.

Using Runelite’s entity hider plugin to hide other players is helpful to eliminate accidently using a karambwan on surrounding players. If not using this plugin I would recommend using a pvp world, as it is safe and there is generally less players.

As mentioned in the banking section, screen markers can be used to increase bank speed as you can prepare where your mouse with have to move when the interface opens.

Advanced Tips: A technique that can be used to increase the speed of cooking karambwans is moving 3 tiles forward when moving east instead of 2, lighting a log and running past it. This allows you to cook 2 karambwans on a fire while still moving east. This requires more camera zooming in the long-term, however provides the benefit of more downtime on the last few logs, which can be useful if playing on an alt.

Another small technique that can be utilised is using the right click ‘walk here’ option when moving down a row, this is because you do not need to zoom out to left click, less intensive long term.

After you’re comfortable with the method, you can increase the cooking ratio by increasing the karambwans you cook per inventory.

Xp/Hr: 900k/hr~ Description: Hold your 2 key and click 1 karambwan on the fire every tick. Best place to do this is at the myths guild range or the inferno bank because people cant walk on top of the fire. Otherwise use Rogues den

Levels 30–99: Cooking fish[edit | edit source]

Cooking fish requires very little attention, and it usually breaks even or profits slightly at higher levels. However, this method is a lot slower than the others, so it is only recommended for players who seek for a very low-effort alternative and do not want to spend a lot of money doing it.

For this method, it is strongly recommended to get the cooking gauntlets from the Family Crest quest. When worn, they reduce the burn rate for lobsters, swordfish, monkfish, sharks, and anglerfish. This will greatly increase experience rates when cooking these fish. Without the gauntlets, players can expect to get notably slower rates.

It is also strongly recommended to have 100% favour in Hosidius for access to the cooking ranges in the Hosidius Kitchen. They provide a 5% increased chance of successfully cooking food over standard cooking ranges. This is increased to 10% with completion of the elite Kourend & Kebos Diary, which requires level 84 Cooking (boostable). Cooking fish in the Hosidius Kitchen offers comparable or slightly higher experience rates than at the ranges in Myths Guild or Mor Ul Rek because of the increased cooked rate, despite the ranges being slightly further away from a bank. The Hosidius ranges remain comparable or better until level 93, after which it becomes faster to cook anglerfish on a normal range.

Cooking one inventory of fish takes around 1 minute and 14 seconds in the Hosidius Kitchen, including banking. Players can cook up to 1,365 fish per hour in the Hosidius Kitchen, or 1,435 fish per hour in Myths Guild or Mor Ul Rek.

The fish and experience needed for each level range are shown in the table below. The experience rates assume the player is wearing the cooking gauntlets (where applicable), and they take the burn rates into account. The amounts of raw fish needed are only rough estimates, so more or less fish may be needed.

Other methods[edit | edit source]

Completion of the quest Lunar Diplomacy is required to cast Bake Pie.

Baking pies using the Bake Pie spell offers relatively fast experience at a low amount of effort. It also offers a decent amount of passive Magic experience, which can be useful for some players. However, this method is usually fairly expensive due to the low supply of uncooked pies, and some options may not be viable due to low trading volumes.

Compared to cooking pies on a range, Bake Pie is cast at a rate of once per 3 ticks instead of the usual 4 ticks, yielding 25% faster cooking speeds. An inventory of 27 pies takes 81 ticks (48.6 seconds) to cook. Additionally, the pies never burn.

Experience rates and costs are shown in the table below. The experience rates assume players bake 1,885 pies per hour, which would also give 113,100 passive Magic experience per hour. The costs assume the player is wearing a steam battlestaff or other items that give unlimited water and fire runes, such as a Tome of Fire.

Levels 30–99: Cooked karambwan[edit | edit source]

Completion of the quest Tai Bwo Wannai Trio is required to successfully cook karambwan. 1-tick cooking karambwan.

1-tick cooking karambwan provides the fastest Cooking experience. Karambwan can be cooked without tick delay by holding down 2 and rapidly using raw karambwan on a fire or range. However, this requires a lot of click accuracy and can be difficult to do consistently for long periods of time.

At max efficiency, 5,000 karambwan can be cooked for 950,000 experience per hour. This includes instant banking at the Myths Guild or Mor Ul Rek and very few burns, achievable at about 96 Cooking, where only 2.34% of karambwan are burnt. Due its click-intensive nature, it is more likely to assume about 4,500–4,800 karambwan per hour. Without tick manipulation, the experience per hour is about 285,000.

Alternatively, use the Hosidius kitchen, to decrease burn chance at a lower level. Completing the elite Kourend & Kebos Diary means at 87 Cooking players wont burn, and without the diary complete level 93 is when one would no longer burn karambwan. At max efficiency here, 4,300 karambwan can be cooked per hour for 817,000 experience after the 0% burn chance is reached. Rates are generally 10–25% lower to account for missed ticks and errors. Multiply the burn rate by the estimated rates for more accurate rates if you do not have 100% success chance.
