Since ‘Bullet’ was born in Kyrgyzstan, her journey to the top of the UFC began in her homeland.
‘Bullet’ and her elder sister Antonia Shevchenko started training in Muay Thai and kickboxing at an early age. Both found unbelievable success on the regional scene, so much so that they were having a hard time finding opponents, which eventually led them to move to other countries.
Even after getting all the success in the UFC, Shevchenko has an immense admiration for the people of Kyrgyzstan.
