Wow Bfa Slimy Mackerel

This Battle for Azeroth Fishing leveling guide will show you the fastest and easiest way how to level BfA Fishing from 1 to 175.

Fishing skill doesnt have any effect on how many fish you catch in the new Battle for Azeroth zones. You will catch the same number of fishes with Fishing skill 1, as with Fishing skill 175. The only reason to level Fishing is for Achievements. If you just simply want to farm fish, then you can go and farm with Fishing 1.

The new BfA Fishing skill is named differently for the two factions, but the name is the only difference between them.

[Kul Tiran Fishing] is the Alliance version and [Zandalari Fishing] is the Horde version.

You can walk up to a guard in Dazaralor or Boralus then ask where the Fishing trainer is located. This will place a red marker on your map at the trainers location.

Fishes no longer come from one specific zone. Instead, you can find 3 types of fish in the Kul Tiras zones, 3 in the Zandalar zones, 2 in Nazjatar, 1 in Mechagon, 2 in the new patch 8.3 zones, and you can fish 2 in all zones.

You can only level your BfA Fishing at Zandalar, Kul Tiras, Nazjatar, Vale of Eternal Blossoms, and Uldum, you wont gain BfA Fishing skill if you fish elsewhere.

You can skill up your fishing from 1 to 175 in any fishable water in the listed zones above. Go to the nearest water, find the fishing skill icon in your spell book (P) at the profession tab, drag this icon to somewhere on your action bar. Stand in front of the lake/river and press the fishing button. Mouse over the lure in the water, and when it splashes, right-click on it.

If you start from BfA Fishing skill 1, you need to catch around 300 Fish to reach 175, which takes around 2-3 hours.

How do I find the BfA Fishing Trainer for a Faction?

The specific Fishing trainer for each faction is in either of the two capital cities in Kul Tiras and Zandalar. Thus, you’ll find the Horde Fishing trainer in Dazar’alor (Zandalar) and the Alliance one in Boralus (Kul Tiras). Here’s a more detailed explanation on how to exactly find your faction’s Fishing trainer:

  • Alliance – Look for Alan Goyle who can be found in the Tradewinds Markt area in Boralus, just north of where the larger group of trainers is. Exact coordinates: 74.2, 5.7
  • Horde – You have to find Silent Tali who is located in The Great Seal floor of Dazar’alor, southwest of the flight path. Exact coordinates: 50, 23
  • Also, keep in mind that the title of your Fishing profession depends on your faction. As a result, Alliance players receive [Kul Tiran Fishing], while Horde players gain access to Zandalari Fishing].

    7 New Fishing World Quests

BfAhas also introduced 7 brand new Fishing world quests for everyone to enjoy.Just note that the number of world quests that you get might vary on a dailybasis as they’re randomly selected.

You can only level Battle for Azeroth fishing in Kul Tiras and Zandalar. You won’t get skill ups fishing anywhere else. It doesn’t matter where you fish in the new Battle for Azeroth zones. Just pick a spot, turn on Netflix and have fun. You should be able to max your BfA fishing in a couple of hours.

In BfA Fishing now has a seperate skill depending on your faction, [Kul Tiran Fishing] for (Alliance) and Zandalari Fishing for (Horde), everything else is still the same between the two.

Fish do not come from specific zones anymore. There are 3 types of fish specific to Kul Tiras, 3 types of fish specific to the Zandalar and 2 fish that can be fished in all of the zones.

There is only one fishing mount in Battle for Azeroth and it is the Great Sea Ray. It has a catch rate of 1/200 in Sea/Ocean waters.

These are the initial 7 daily world quests added in Battle for Azeroth. World quests are selected randomly for the day so the amount of fishing quests you get will vary.
